About Classic Africa
2013 Classic Africa
Feb 28th to March 12th
Classic Africa is a 1600 mile on and off road adventure driving ‘bakkies’, which is the South African word for pick ups. In keeping with other Classic Journeys we’ll be avoiding many of the typical touristy hotspots and instead visiting several locations that visitors don’t normally see. We’ll be spending two nights in the mountain kingdom of Lesotho. We’re visiting the Wild Coast, Drakensberg Mountains, and some old Boer and Zulu war sites. A trip to Africa would not be complete without viewing big game and with this in mind we will be spending time in a game park. They’ll be much more too but all the while you’ll have the freedom of being an independent traveller with your own vehicle.

We don’t drive in convoys. You will be provided with a professionally prepared easy to follow route book to guide you on your way.
