2011 Classic Africa
In March 2011 we’re running our first trip to South Africa and Lesotho.
March17th to March 29th
Classic Africa is a 1600 mile on and off road adventure driving ‘bakkies’, which is the South African word for pick ups. In keeping with other Classic Journeys we’ll be avoiding many of the typical touristy hotspots and instead visiting several locations that visitors don’t normally see. A trip to Africa would not be complete without viewing big game and with this in mind we will be spending pleanty of time in a game park. We’ll also be visiting the Wild Coast, Drakensberg Mountains, and some old Boer and Zulu war sites. They’ll be much more too but all the while you’ll have the freedom of being an independent traveller with your own vehicle.
We don’t drive in convoys. You will be provided with a professionally prepared route book and a modern GPS to guide you on your way.
